Initial review

This is the most comfortable pack I’ve worn. It feels like a pillow against your back. That was with 55 lbs load which it carried well.

The frame is a little tall. I’m 5’8” and the way I have to position the shoulder straps, I hit the frame with the back of my head when leaning back (intentionally) interested to see how it feels with a helmet.

The shoulder straps loosened up a little on my initial ruck to test it out. Of course I was running with load and is bound to happen. I just noticed it a little more often during breaks. Not sure how often I’ll have to retighten during patrols.

With the straps loosening, the pack still felt more comfortable than my OG Alice pack with a similar load.

Will recommend for dudes 5’8”+

Will follow up with post deployment review next year.

I have owned several backpacks, a few with more pockets or features, but the quality and attention to details, from the stitching, to fabrics, to zippers and closures, make this hands down the best I’ve owned.

Very nice multipurpose bag the quality is superb and the usefulness all I could ask for the Frame is perfect for any load in the field and the pockets make organization and accessibility a breeze especially the clam shell opening.

The pack is well designed and well thought out. The side pockets on the waist strap are very handy and even when fully loaded you could hardly notice that they were there. I’m able to pack everything I need to sustain in the woods for a long period of time with it only weighing in at 30lbs. But if I were to make any changes I would add a little molle webbing either at the top or bottom of the pack. This is not a necessity I just like to pack a sleeping pad and woobie in a compression sack on the outside of the pack but I still figured out a way to get er done.
