                             Backpack Comparison Chart

Use this table to compare scabbard sizes and for rough overall size comparison.  There are three sets of photos showing the packs with different guns.

The rifle used in the first row of comparison photos is a full-sized hunting gun: a Winchester M70 .338 WM with 26" barrel, Leupold VII 3x9, CFW stock.

X1 Gunslinger Just One

X1 with the Win M70.  Plenty of room.

GS04/5 with Win M70.  Big scabbard also has room for a fishing rod (or a bigger gun, as you'll see below).

J104/5 with the Win M70.  Plenty of room.

The more compact X1.  A lighter weight, smaller pack.  A longer gun stands a little higher in the scabbard, but it still carries it very well.

Choose this pack if you want  a simpler, lighter, high quality daypack, with the Ripcord Bow Tether.

Note:  For more views of each pack, click on the link buttons below.

The midsize Gunslinger.  A sweet daypack, with a wider Backscabbard designed for large or bulky weapons.

Choose this if you want a very nice daypack with more features, such as oversized compression straps, Padlock accessory attachments, a top-cover for the gun, and more.  Also the best choice for those with tall turreted scopes, or guns with bipods combined with large objective scopes.

The larger Just One.  A beautiful pack that feels like a daypack when it's lightly loaded -- it rides like it's part of your body -- but expands to a full-scale freighter with our patented Cam Expansion System.

Choose this pack if you want a pack that does it all.  It has a close profile, and carries right behind your torso as a daypack.  And it can carry as much meat as you can walk with.  Designed to get you into camp, to be a pleasure to hunt with, and to get your game off the mountain.

The rifle used in the second set of comparison photos is a 2006 M1 with Remington 700 .308 with 26" barrel and Leupold 6.5-20 x 50 LR/T.  Note the deep-bellied forestock in combination with the tall scope turrets; it's pretty big gun.    It drops right in to the Gunslinger, but is a tight squeeze in the X1 and Just One.

X1 Gunslinger Just One

This big gun is a tight fit in the X1, but as you can see, it carries it.  It would fit fine with a regular scope (without the tactical turrets) or with a standard stock.

GS04/5 with the Rem 700.  This pack also has room for the bipod with the large scope.  There's plenty of room for extreme-sized guns in this pack.

J104/5 with the Rem 700.  Again, it's a tight fit, but do-able.  As with the X1, either a regular scope or stock would make this an easy fit.

x project Gunslinger Just One

For one more example, we'll show you a DPMS .308 LRR with Leupold 6.5-20 x 50 LR/T in a Gunslinger.  The combination of scope and magazine make it a tight fit in a GS05.  With the magazine removed, it easily drops in and slips out; this is a fairly extreme gun size to try to fit in a scabbard.  The Gunslinger is the only pack that a weapon of this size is compatible with.

Many of our customers decide that just one of these packs isn't going to be enough.  If you're having a hard time deciding between a couple of models, maybe you'll want to get both of them!  Check out our package deals for ways to purchase more than one item, and save. Package Deals
