A2MP MultiPack.  The Swiss Army Knife of Pack Components...

The A2MP has ten pockets.     But it's not about the pockets...         It's just an extraordinarily useful and versatile piece of gear.

A note from the guy who dreams these things up:  For several years, people have been asking me to make a binocular case.  Usually what they've asked for is something similar to the cases that are already on the market, and since those things already exist, I never really saw the point.  Most of what's out there has seemed limiting to me, with a narrow purpose and too many straps.  And since I'm a wearer of backpacks, I didn't want to have more straps wrapped around my body than was necessary.  But the seeds of an idea had been planted, and they have finally grown into something that is unique.  I am pleased to offer our MultiPack, an ideal tool for carrying your binoculars, calls, flashlights, batteries, and any other small items that you'll want ready and easy access to.  It's not an ordinary organizer/accessory case, but one which simply and comfortably can be worn or mounted in more ways than you can shake a stick at.  Here's a look at our favorite features:

What makes this different from other chest packs and binocular carriers:

  • Worn as a chest pack, the A2MP is suspended from your pack's harness.  The pack carries the weight of the pouch and its contents beautifully, so you don't notice that you're carrying binoculars, etc.

  • The A2MP can be mounted to any of the Padlock matrixes on our packs, so you can carry it on the side of your waistbelt, or mount it on the main body of the pack.

  • Our unique Padlock MultiMount system allows you to attach the A2MP to any piece of webbing or belt.  Which means that you can put it anywhere.  For example, you can use it as a fanny pack just by attaching it to your regular pants belt.  In the field, this means that you can grab it and use it as a small fanny pack if you've stashed your big pack someplace.  Click here to see more about the way that the Padlock system works to attach a pouch to a pack's panels, or to belts and webbing.

  • The MultiMount straps also come with an extension link, which turns them into a standard neck strap.

See below for suggested rigging of the pouch with our chest mounting kit (included when you order the A2MP from us).  The attachment straps, shown in gray, will actually match your MultiPack.

The A2MP can be mounted on any Padlock (or standard PALS/MOLLE) matrix.  It works great as a way to add more pockets to any of our packs.  Here's a link to a page showing how this works:  Padlock Pouch Attachment    [Photo courtesy of Ryan and Cassie Waggoner].
